X-Rite has released Colortrue™ Aware Software Developers Kit (SDK) for Apple iOS and Google Android platforms. Colortrue™ Aware SDK allows mobile app developers to deliver accurate colour using the profile created with the X-Rite Colortrue™ app, as well as the included image transformation tools.
X-Rite’s Colortrue SDK allows third party app developers access to the custom profile created in the Colortrue™ app, enabling them to seamlessly deliver colour management within their own app(s). The third party app must be promoted as ‘Colortrue™Aware’ so all Colortrue™ users can quickly identify apps that are colour managed whenever they see the Colortrue™ Aware logo.

CamRanger is a great wireless tethering solution that allows photographers to shoot directly to their mobile device – and now their users will be able to view their images colour accurately.’
The Colortrue™ Aware SDK is for both iOS and Android platforms. It includes the retrieval of the display profile, the CMM for colour transformations, image processing features including white point selection, ambient light and display brightness compensation and print simulation for soft proofing.
