Stratasys Ltd announced the opening of its new 5000sqm, state-of-the-art Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Headquarters in Rheinmuenster, Germany. The new purpose-built site will support the company’s goal to meet growing capacity requirements, while increasing customer service through new market-leading customer training and benchmarking facilities.

The new four-storey premises includes an advanced benchmark centre, showroom and training facility. It also includes three workshop rooms dedicated to supporting EMEA universities and research institutions.

‘To meet existing and future growth expectations, we have moved to a facility specifically designed to cater to our customer needs and our expanding operations,’ explained Andy Middleton, Senior Vice President and General Manager EMEA. ‘With customer service as the driving force for everything we do, our new facility features dedicated training facilities and an exceptional benchmark centre, demonstrating our commitment to customers and their continued growth and success.’

As a knowledge hub, the company’s new ‘Benchmark Centre EMEA’ is significantly larger than its predecessor and includes a full range of both FDM- and PolyJet-based 3D Printers. This facility enables partners, existing and potential customers to gain first-hand experience and training of Stratasys’ leading technologies, including products from the affordable desktop Idea Series, as well as 3D Production Systems such as the Fortus 900mc and Objet1000.

As Stratasys continues to pioneer 3D printing, the new facilities’ workshop rooms are designed for its continued collaborations with university and research institutions as they push the boundaries of the technology.

Middleton explained, ‘We have already worked on a number of university projects that have helped push our technology to new levels. Projects of this nature not only help to support the industry, but they also help our strive for innovation. Our continued drive to push the envelope of our technology and the wider industry is key to our business, and our responsibility as an industry leader.’

In celebration of the opening of its new EMEA Headquarters, Stratasys hosted an unveiling ceremony on Wednesday 25th March for over 140 employees and regional vendors. Guests including Mayor of Rheinmuenster, Helmut Pautler and Reiner Dehmelt, Mayor of Huegelsheim, attended.

Scott Crump, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chief Innovation Officer of Stratasys, Elchanan Jaglom, Chairman of the Board and David Reis, Chief Executive Officer of Stratasys, were also in attendance and participated in the ‘ribbon cutting’ ceremony.

Middleton concluded, ‘With over 25 years in the industry, we are proud to be at the forefront of 3D printing and mark this special occasion with the local community, customers and partners. We expect our new facility to support a number of exciting customer projects and provide the platform for us to further develop our EMEA business.’
