Bit Brand’s purchase of the 520HD+ underlines the rapid growth of Screen’s inkjet technology in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Screen has helped Bit Brand meet customer demand for higher colour standards and shorter turnaround times.
The transactional printing and mailing specialist faced a difficult challenge: its customers not only want their mailings to be more colourful and glossy than ever, they also want them turned around faster and faster. After extensive research and testing, the Bit Brand team invested in the press from Screen.
‘As our customers’ requests became more demanding, we realised our previous printing systems and associated capacity were no longer up to the task. With the Screen printer, we have achieved a colour depth that is suitable for documents and advertising mailings and we also have the ability to print on offset paper. The main reasons for choosing the Screen 520HD+ were the speed and quality of the print results,’ said Wolfgang Brand, Managing Director.
The German family business has decades of experience in high-quality print products, with a strong reputation for data processing, dispatch logistics and efficient and fast processing of direct mailings and transaction documents. ‘With this machine, we can offer our customers more options, like printing on glossy paper,’ said Brand. ‘Combined with the high-quality colouring produced by the Screen printer, we can now create mailings and logos that our customers simply love because they meet their ambitious standards. What’s more, our customers also benefit from shorter turnaround times.’
As a specialist in data processing and dispatch logistics, the company uses the Screen 520HD+ to print mailings, such as charitable fundraising letters, direct mail and registration forms for trade fairs. ‘Our greatest strength is our ability to act quickly and flexibly, using our in-house expertise and resources. We are particularly strong at making the different printing stages interact, allowing us to produce top quality mailings at high speed,’ explained Brand.
‘The 520HD+ fits perfectly into this system, connecting seamlessly to our Hunkeler machines, which take care of punching or perforating and winding and unwinding the paper rolls. An inline cutting machine, which is directly linked to the Screen printer, allows single sheet printing from the roll.’
