Screen will exhibit its new Truepress Jet L350UV at Labelexpo at Brussels for the first time in Europe from the 24th to the 27th of September this year.
The Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label printing system boasts photo realistic quality, has a stable output that requires almost no daily maintenance. The new press prints widths up to 322mm (12.6in) and prints at a top speed of 50m (164ft) per minute. It is an inkjet printing system for labels with a productivity rate of 16.1sqm per minute.
Lamination, die cutting and other post-press processing devices can be connected inline to automate label production from beginning to end. The Truepress Jet L350UV creates smooth and vivid gradations when combined with the advanced colour management technology based on Screen’s EQUIOS universal workflow.
The Truepress Jet L350UV uses Screen’s proprietary high-definition UV inks which produce a wider colour gamut. Optional opaque white ink further boosts colour vibrancy while enhancing application versatility by allowing printing on transparent film and metallic foil.
The press incorporates single pass greyscale piezo printheads with a minimum droplet size of 3 picolitres. Printing resolutions of 600 x 600dpi with very small droplet size give sharp, well defined images and text.
The press is engineered as either a roll-to-roll press for near-line finishing, or with the ability to feature automated in-line finishing such as lamination, die-cutting, foiling, coating and embossing.
Brian Filler, President of Screen said that Screen is committed to providing the packaging industry with a choice high quality and ultra reliable imaging and digital printing solutions that deliver flexibility. With a low cost of ownership and a swift return on investment.
Filler also said The Truepress Jet L350UV is a superb digital press designed to meet the needs of the market to produce highly competitive high-quality, high-value labels.
Alongside the Truepress Jet L350UV for label printing, Screen will also exhibit other packaging applications that form part of their packaging portfolio such as the :EQUIOS workflow, a range of thermal PlateRite CTP devices for both flexo and offset printing and the Truepress JetSX sheet-fed B2 digital label press for personalised carton and label printing.
