Scodix has announced that Printhouse GmbH, a leader in premium printing and finishing services, has made a significant investment by acquiring three Scodix machines.
This investment sets new standards for Printhouse to offer greater quality and personalisation without increasing prices for consumers. Since opening its new 5000-square metre location in Olching, Germany last year, Printhouse GmbH has experienced rapid development. The company now employs 52 staff members there and produces a wide range of products, including greeting cards, photo and notebooks, and calendars for Kartenliebe.de and MYPOSTER.
Customers particularly favour enhancement options in gold, silver and rose gold, reflecting a clear trend toward individuality, especially for weddings and birthdays. In 2024, Printhouse GmbH anticipates enhancing approximately 6 million cards.
‘Thanks to the new machines, we can use more luxurious papers while ensuring the highest quality standards without increasing prices for our customers,’ explained managing director, Anna Ruhland.
By investing in the latest Scodix printing machines, Printhouse GmbH is also committing to sustainable production methods. The use of untreated and natural papers that no longer require a lacquer primer significantly reduces the company’s environmental impact.
Despite competition also using Scodix machines, Printhouse GmbH stands out through its new generation models that offer superior quality and advanced technology. ‘We aspire to become the leading provider of high-quality enhancements in Europe,’ said Ruhland. The deal, negotiated over several months and backed by extensive quality tests, marks a significant advancement for the company and underscores its commitment to sustainable investment in innovative printing technologies.
