Ricoh SA has announced new options for its heavy and medium production machines, which include coated papers, heavyweight media covers and the ability to insert slip sheets. Eight new paper feed and output options will be available for the Pro C9200 and Pro C7200 series devices from November 2019.
‘Customers will also have new binding capabilities,’ said Vaughan Patterson, head of commercial and industrial print at Ricoh SA. ‘That includes saddle stitching for long-sheet media and SquareFold finishing. It gives them access to make a bigger variety of products for their customers, things like A4 landscape booklets and manuals, saddle-stitched catalogues, manuals and reports with covers made from heavyweight and coated papers and high quality, finished saddle-stitch catalogues and manuals with the SquareFold finishing.’
The E-86 and E-86A Fiery servers for the Pro C9200 and Pro C7200 respectively use the Fiery NX Premium hardware and perform 50% better over the older E-85 variants. ‘The E-86A and E-46A print servers also include a new fifth colour calibration feature that means customers get better colour quality for those fifth-colour applications and less manual adjustment before printing,’ said Patterson.
‘The market is still very active but that doesn’t mean it’s not tough,’ he said. ‘These new options help customers differentiate and gear up for the growing demand for added value materials.’
The eight options include the SR5110 and SR5120 finishers, the TR5050 trimmer and CI5040 cover interposer tray. There will also be the PBM 5035 staple version long sheet finisher, PBM 5035s stitch version long sheet finisher, LCT3500 long sheet, large capacity tray, and the face SquareBack trimmer for the SR5120 from Plockmatic.
