Ricoh Relaunches Postcard Service To Keep People Connected

397

Ricoh’s relaunched Printed Memories website – in partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK – gives people the opportunity to stay connected with their loved ones during this time of social distancing and isolation by sending them a printed postcard with an image and personalised message.

‘We’ve revamped our Printed Memories website,’ said Jolene Castelyn, head of Marketing at Ricoh SA. ‘It has a slicker ordering system and people can now use PayPal. The website is responsive to mobile platforms, which makes it really simple to use and you can upload photos straight from your phone, laptop, desktop, or tablet. A lot of South Africans have family living in the UK so this is an ideal opportunity to create a physical connection in emotionally tough times.’

The platform is entirely run on Ricoh technology, software and expertise. Postcards are printed at the Smart Factory in the Ricoh Products Ltd facility. Visitors to the site can click ‘Send a postcard’, enter the name and address of the recipient, and then enter a personal message and upload a picture from their device. All proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Research UK charity.
