The fact that Ricoh has installed more than 650 high-speed inkjet production engines in 29 countries, at an average of more than 20 engines per country, was celebrated at Hunkeler InnovationDays 2017. It has also been consistently named a global leader in high-speed inkjet by IDC.

The company has developed and deployed more than 10 ink types, and also has five generations of control unit platform as it continues to evolve to meet changing market needs.

‘The market is currently evolving at a rapid pace,’ said Vaughan Patterson, product marketing operations manager for production print at Ricoh SA. ‘Ricoh’s production portfolio is consistently and constantly bringing enhancements to market that affect print speeds, quality, and capabilities to help customers deal with the changes affecting their own markets.’

‘Ricoh has a long history of innovation in this market,’ said Patterson. ‘Ricoh was first to enter the high volume drop-on-demand market. The technicians in the labs continue to produce these innovative technologies and value-added solutions, and that’s why companies like IDC consistently name Ricoh a leader in MarketScape and other vendor assessments.’
