Printing SAs Estimating course will assist individuals in not only calculating estimates but also production planning, management and sales.

This course is not only suitable for prospective print estimators but has, over the years, been attended by all involved in print production from the sales reps to work ticket writers, DTP operators, production planners etc.

  • Hourly Cost Rates (overview).
  • Jobbing Work.
  • Carton Work.
  • Estimating for Web-Offset.
  • Gravure and Flexographic Printing (Brief overview).

Three exams are written, one theory exam in May and two Practical exams in November. Please note that a minimum pass rate of 50% for theory and 80% for practical must be obtained to pass. The actual examination dates will be advised.

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology recognises the standard of PIFSA’s Estimating Certificate. Successful completion of the estimating course results in two credits being granted towards the National Diploma in Printing Management.

Duration

40 x two hour lectures – every Tuesday evening.

Time: 17h30 – 19h30.

Cost per delegate
