November kicked off in a festive mood with Printing SA’s KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and Cape Chambers hosting their annual dinner and awards events, celebrating the Top Achievers of the TT3 class for 2023/24. The KZN Chamber event was held on 7 November and the Cape Chamber event was held on 8 November 2024.
The KZN Chamber Top Achievers were: Emmanuel Ganas, Menziwokuhle Mvundla, Sibusiso Mkhabela, Nomvelo Ngema, Sihle Ngcobo, Samuel Pillay, Nosipho Mbazini, Miralda Singh, Duduzile Mhlongo, Philani Shandu and Nonjabulo Bukhosini.
The Cape Chamber Top Achievers were: Cherish Cramer, Vuyokazi Mlandu, Johannes Lefifi, Jason Beukes, Petrus De Korte, Brandon Lombard, Caroline Marema, Mesengo Mbiza, Ernest Mokhlele, Enrico Moolman, Monwabisi Mtyobile, Boniswa Ntsangani, Abdelatief Paulse, Okuhle Qamata, Luqmaan Salie, Celine Dion Riley and Omar Adams.
Both events were sold out, showcasing a vibrant gathering of industry leaders and members who came together to honour excellence in the printing sector. The evenings featured lively performances by the popular band 5th Season and renowned musician Don Vino, adding a festive atmosphere to the celebrations.
Attendees enjoyed an engaging programme that highlighted the achievements of their peers while fostering connections within the industry. A significant highlight of the events was the inaugural presentation of the Women in Print Award, recognising outstanding female leaders in the printing industry. This year, Yvette Roberts, CEO of Proprint in Durban, and Dr. Anika Nell, CEO of Stripform in Cape Town, were crowned as the first regional recipients of this prestigious award.
The Women in Print Award honours women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made substantial contributions to Printing SA over their careers, leaving a lasting impact on the industry. The successful execution of these events underscores the commitment of both chambers to celebrate excellence and promote collaboration within the printing community. As members reflect on a night filled with recognition and entertainment, they look forward to continued growth and innovation in the industry.
