The Printing SA and Africa Print Top Achiever Awards were given to the top three students who completed their Technical Theoretical (TT3) courses. Africa Print and FESPA Africa are the proud sponsors of these Top Student awards, which were announced at the Printing SA gala dinner, held at Gallagher Convention Centre Ballroom on 13 September.
The award recipients are as follows:
First place: Zeal Denays Coetzee, with 95% (awarded R5000).
Second place: Scelo Wonderboy Mkhize, with 89% (awarded R3000).
Third place: Josias Morne, with 82% (awarded R2000).
FESPA Africa and Africa Print have also provided a further R10,000 to fund the education and training of deserving and underprivileged candidates.
Printing SA hosts training for its members and those looking to make a career in the industry. On offer are Printing and Packaging Technical Theoretical Modules which are available at the Johannesburg, Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal Chambers of Printing SA. Other courses are also available in Digital Printing, Soft Skills Training, including leadership; disciplinary hearings; labour law; account management; statutory training, etc, Printing and Packaging Management Courses, including the Wits courses and the Cape Town University of Technology National Print Management Diploma and Health and Safety Training, including basic fire fighting and first aid.
