Printing SA CEO Steve Thobela hosted a function on the Printing SA and FESPA stand at the Africa Print and FESPA Africa expo, to announce the first Printing SA Chamber outside of the South African borders. The Mauritian Chamber will be the fifth Printing SA chamber and Ashish Mulloo will be taking on the role as chamber director.
Thobela explained that despite being approached by Mulloo, director of Big Five Holdings in Mauritius, this move was part of the future strategy of Printing SA to cross the South African borders to create jobs in printing and so that all Printing SA members can look at investment opportunities. Printing SA is a well established industry association that has a unique offering including training, industry representation across many relevant statutory councils, boards and chambers that are relevant to the printing industry, dispute resolution, management consulting services, industry communications, labour relations, to mention a few services.
Mulloo said that he was looking forward to working together to exchange ideas, sharing knowledge and most importantly setting up training for the printing industry in Mauritius. ‘Mauritius will now be known for sun, sand, sea and print!’
The wheels are in motion and the Mauritian Chamber should be up and running later this year. The Printing SA family are very excited to welcome this new Chamber on board.
