Kemtek recently installed an HP Indigo at Print 24, a specialised on-demand printing company that offers digital, litho and silkscreen printing.

According to Jay Lieberthal, sales manager at Print 24, the installation of the Indigo has changed the business: ‘Print 24’s main product is service, offering 24-hour speed service and same day speed service wherever possible on a national level. Since the addition of the Indigo to our fleet of production presses, we have been able to drastically shorten delivery times even further, almost doubling our daily output in brilliant HD quality.’
He said that they can now offer clients synthetics as well as textured specialty papers that were not ideally suited to their former set-up, ‘Before the Indigo, this was an area we would have to avoid. Today we see it as a main growth target market for the new year. Clients no longer want plain full colour cards on 350gsm or 400gsm gloss or matt. We are in an age of customisation and individuality that the printing industry has not seen before, and the addition of this press opens doors to that market, and also increases daily output and quality by a long way.’
He praised Kemtek’s service delivery: ’Kemtek is probably the best service provider I have dealt with, from the C-suite executives and sales managers down to the technicians and admin staff. It was a very tricky installation, we installed the machine in our Umhlanga digital production centre, where we are very limited on in terms of space. The entrance to our workshop was 2.1m high, with the Indigo being 2050mm. The technical team made it work with smiles on their faces. The level of training received has been superior to anything we have had before. The back-up service is also incredible. Kemtek truly understands the on-demand print market.’
