Business solution specialist, Pitney Bowes South Africa and ARX, the market leader in digital signature solutions, have announced their new collaboration. Together, the two will deliver powerful, integrated solutions to assist South African organisations in improving efficiencies, lowering their operational risk and becoming compliant with Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) .

Not only have digital signatures become increasingly popular in recent years as many organisations choose to digitise and automate their business systems, but in South Africa they have become a compliance necessity.

According to a recent statement by South African Presidency spokesperson Mac Maharaj regarding POPI, ‘The act will give effect to the right to privacy, by introducing measures to ensure that the personal information of an individual is safeguarded when it is processed by responsible parties.’

Since POPI was signed into law in 2013, Pitney Bowes SA has been working closely with their customers and industry specialists to develop compliancy solutions for various vertical industries.

Considering the response they have seen in the South African market, Pitney Bowes SA anticipates high demand for the joint offering. Combining Pitney Bowes ECM solutions with CoSign by ARX will provide an end-to-end solution that digitises and archives documents in compliance with legal requirements.

Pitney Bowes, a global customer communications company, serves both large corporations and small-to-medium-sized businesses in more than 100 countries. Pitney Bowes is widely recognised for their heritage of innovation and their record as a global corporate citizen which is integral to their business, community and environmental practices.

Pitney Bowes South Africa provides encryption technologies and robust solutions that support business-critical processes.

‘The partnership with ARX offers our customers a legally compliant solution for digitally signing documents which can then be seamlessly integrated with their Electronic Document management and Record management systems,’ said Leon van der Merwe, Business Development Manager at Pitney Bowes SA.

‘ARX are thrilled to be working with Pitney Bowes. As ECM experts who can advise on both strategy and implementation, they fully complete the services we currently offer our clients. By combining ECM solutions with workflow systems and digital signatures, organisations can dramatically improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their core business processes,’ said Raanan Dahari, VP of Sales EMEA at ARX.
