Optimus will launch dash Job Ganging as a feature within Optimus dash at Ipex 2014, taking place in Excel, London from 24-29 March this year.
Optimus, with renowned Lean Manufacturing experience, has ensured that at the heart of Optimus dash the focus remains on eliminating waste, whether as a key stroke or as unnecessary processes which print buyers will not pay extra for.
Optimus dash Job Ganging can help to generate even greater efficiencies and savings. Dash users can identify jobs suitable for ganging using a comprehensive search facility and input the information required to create the ‘master’ job—this can be elements of a job or all parts.
The master job, which clearly identifies which customer’s job has been ganged, will then collect all costs including materials, labour and outwork and all costs are automatically sent back, in real time, to the original production jobs based on the percentage of costs originally recorded. This ensures that maximum production efficiencies are gained from ganging whilst also ensuring that costs are recorded against the individual job.
