OKI SA will showcase the OKI ES9541, the graphic arts industry’s first five-colour, A3 LED printer incorporating the latest advancement in printing technology, as well as the Anytron Digital Label Press, at the Africa Print Expo, taking place from 2-4 July at Gallagher Convention Centre. The Africa Print Expo is co-located with FESPA Africa.
The OKI ES9541 boasts a unique 5-Station Multimedia production platform that allows previously outsourced print jobs to be produced in-house. The OKI ES9541 allows users to demonstrate their creativity and the ability to create extraordinary mock-ups, stationery, brochures, prototypes, point-of-sale materials, window graphics, labels and so much more in breathtaking HD colour. In addition to C, M, Y, K process colours, the OKI ES9541 offers an extra spot colour in white or clear gloss. This capability was previously only available on expensive digital or litho graphic printing equipment.
ANYTRON DIGITAL LABEL PRESS
The Press, integrated with OKI Specialised Label Printers, produces high resolution output (maximum 1200dpi resolution) at up to nine metres per second thanks to digital single-pass technology. Reliability and speed is a result of the device’s Single Pass technology (in terms of which the labels follow a straight path through the machine, with no bending) as well as a sophisticated take-up and feed unit. The continuous roll printing achieves an output speed that leads the industry in desktop label printing. The Press measures just over 1.6 metres long and 58cm wide. Capable of handling (10cm, 15cm or 20cm) 4, 6 or 8-inch label stock, it produces high-definition, full colour labels which are also waterproof and scratch resistant. A wide variety of self-adhesive label stock is available – to suit products contained in anything from wine bottles, to boxed goods, punnets or bags.
