Agfa Graphics has announced that 10 out 19 winners of the 2013 Newspaper Awards use Agfa Graphics systems. The company congratulated the winners.
A special mention goes to the 2013 Grand Prix winner given for Printed Innovation of the Year and awarded to Guardian Print Centre (GPC) using Agfa Graphics pre-press including violet chemistry-free N94-VCF plates. Judges highlighted GPCs Excellent execution of multi-width webs on the run and Excellent colour across sections.
This years Agfa Premier Award for the Newspaper Printer of the Year went to Newsprinters. The judges agreed that Newsprinters had shown remarkable quality and colour consistency across multiple presses and print centres. Newsprinters use Agfa Graphics prepress solutions.
The annual Newspaper Awards, originally launched in 1996, have traditionally had a focus on recognising excellence in the production values of newspapers.
