New Ricoh Inkjet Printer Fits In Almost Any Production Environment

The new Ricoh Pro VC20000 inkjet, which will be in South Africa soon, provides an essential continuous, colour machine for PSPs migrating from offset to digital. Applications range from transactional print such as bills, statements and policy documents, to books and direct mail.

The compact, versatile and simple-to-use system brings competitive colour production to existing users of continuous feed printers, as well as sheet-fed users who want to consolidate the output of multiple devices to a single machine. It fits in almost any production environment since it has a footprint of just 4.3 square metres.

‘One of the great features of this new platform is its small size,’ said Charl Vogel, head of CIP at Ricoh SA. ‘This machine even slots in alongside toner machines that are smaller than the inkjet devices. The addition of this device also gives Ricoh one of the broadest portfolios on the market, which means we can help our customers meet the widest range of needs for their markets.’

The Ricoh Pro VC20000 is supported by Ricoh’s growing software portfolio. It includes the new cloud-based Ricoh Supervisor – a remotely accessible Internet of Things (IoT) solution that supports informed decision making by collecting, securely storing and analysing operational data – as well as the Ricoh Communications Manager, which delivers and deploys Customer Communications Management services with end-to-end visibility from source system to the final delivery for both print and digital communications.

There is also the newly updated Ricoh ProcessDirector that controls and manages print production processes, TotalFlow BatchBuilder for intelligent and optimised production processes, and FusionPro for the design and production of personalised communications.

Customers also get access to Ricoh’s knowledgeable and responsive service and support network dedicated to helping them develop exciting new revenue streams to help achieve optimum return on investment
