The Epson ColorWorks® CW-C8000 colour label printer is now in stock at Intellistor. In-house and virtual demonstrations are available for businesses looking to enhance their label printing. The CW-C8000 is engineered to meet the requirements of in-house, on-demand printing at an industrial volume and scale. It marries a small footprint with improved integration and better connectivity for lasting impact and leverages Epson’s PrecisionCore® Heat-Free technology.
The robust PrecisionCore permanent printhead is designed for exceptional longevity with minimal maintenance – a critical advantage for high-throughput production environments. This innovative system delivers unparalleled image quality and razor-sharp precision at remarkable speeds, setting a new benchmark for industrial label printing. This precision is achieved using a movable hole sensor that enables printing on any shape without requiring a second die cut/double cut.
The printer uses Epson’s premium UltraChrome® DL pigment inks, renowned for producing vibrant, durable labels with BS5609 compliance that will withstand challenging conditions. The high-capacity, 480ml ink packs significantly reduce both operational costs and environmental impact.
Businesses can customise their printing experience by selecting either Gloss or Matt Black Ink options, tailoring output to specific requirements. The CW-C8000 further enhances operational efficiency through advanced connectivity features. It includes seamless cloud printing capabilities and optional Wi-Fi®, SAP direct printing for better integration with ERP Systems, and ZPLII support for ease of use with existing systems. It offers users unprecedented flexibility in printer deployment and management.
‘As one of South Africa’s leading value-added distributors of on-demand colour label printing technology for over 10 years, the CW-C8000 represents a significant advancement in our ColorWorks portfolio,’ said Jacques Roux, Intellistor’s sales and marketing director. ‘This industrial-grade printer expands our product offerings with enhanced PrecisionCore permanent printhead technology, allowing us to provide our reseller partners and end customers with exceptional quality printing solutions that require far less maintenance.’
‘The CW-C8000 strengthens our industrial printing catalogue with speeds up to 300mm/s second while maintaining superior 600 x 1200dpi resolution — addressing the growing demand for high-volume, high-quality production equipment. The addition of Epson ICC Profiling and Spot Colour management helps users create brand-accurate logos and labelling. The available iOS Android and WebApp Sofware Development Kits will greatly assist clients in developing novel applications and services and integrating them with the CW-C8000.’
‘What truly distinguishes this addition to our distribution line-up is the versatile media options, supporting materials from 25mm to 112mm in width, and up to 0.6mm thickness. This allows us to better serve resellers who cater to specialised market segments. The Epson Cloud Solution PORT, Cloud Monitoring and Epson Device Administration applications also represent a significant advancement in our technology offerings, enhancing our value proposition for partners seeking comprehensive remote management capabilities.’
He also explained how the printer will benefit the South African market. ‘We’re incredibly excited to distribute the Epson CW-C8000 to the South African market because we’ve seen first-hand the challenges businesses face with label printing,’ he continued. ‘Many manufacturing operations struggle with production delays when their label stock runs low, and we know how frustrating that can be.’
He added that businesses can produce beautiful, durable labels whenever they need them. ‘We’ve witnessed food producers light up when they realise, they can print small batches of seasonal labels or make last-minute changes without scrapping expensive pre-printed stock.’
‘What matters to us is how this technology helps local businesses become more self-sufficient. The savings on both cost and environmental impact from the high-capacity ink packs are substantial, especially in our current economic climate. When companies can respond to market changes in minutes rather than weeks, they gain a real competitive edge. We believe this printer isn’t just another product in our distribution catalogue, it’s a tool that gives South African businesses the agility they need to thrive in challenging times.’
