Neschen will represent its solutions for book care and highlight the sustainable organic series, based on sugarcane. The filmolux® soft organic and filmolux® libre organic book protection films are manufactured using bio-based polyethylene (Bio-PE), which is derived from a renewable resource, sugar cane. Sugar cane binds CO2 from the atmosphere during growth, and its bio-polyethylene contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional polyethylene, which is made from fossil materials.
The filmolux® organic series is a better ecological balance than petrochemical polyethylene. Book protection itself and sustainable book protection films are an ecological match that strikes a chord. Neschen will also be showing many other self-adhesive repair tapes and films from the portfolio, for the protection, professional repair and care of books. These products, along with the necessary tools and equipment for their utilisation, are frequently employed in archives, libraries and museums.
IFLA will be holding its 88th IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) in Rotterdam, Netherlands from 21-25 August 2023 in the new Ahoy Convention Center. Neschen can be found in the Ahoy Convention Center, Rotterdam, in the exhibition hall from August 22 – 24, 2023.
