Morgana Systems will focus on the offline suite of products, with the company’s latest range of booklet makers, and new XL Pro versions of the AutoCreaser and DigiFold products, whilst Plockmatic will concentrate on inline finishing.
The very latest range of modular booklet makers, adaptable to your book making requirements hand fed or feeder ready will be introduced. With an increasing number of printing systems available to handle larger cut-sheet sizes, A4 landscape and oversize booklets can now be produced easily and cost-effectively with these new products. The new BM5035 and BM5050 products deliver these new applications by handling sheets of up to 620mm in length. The machines have been engineered for mid-to-high volume customers with the highest quality and functionality.
The BM5050 and BM3050 can staple and fold up to 50 sheets of 80gsm, to create booklets of up to 200 pages. The BM5035 and BM3035 are capable of handling 35 sheets to create up to 140 page booklets.
The Morgana PowerSquare 160VF delivers high volume A4 landscape format books up to 160 pages, while the PowerSquare 224VF is the professional’s choice for the production of high volume SquareBack books up to 224 pages. The addition of the Vacuum Feed dual-bin feeding system aids continuous production, ideal for larger run lengths. Four processes: stitching, folding, spine forming and trimming take place in one compact machine.
The new AutoCreaser XL Pro and the DigiFold XL Pro will be launched. These new units have been developed to handle the ever-increasing demand for long sheet finishing. The AutoCreaser and DigiFold delivers pin-sharp creases and prevents cracking of the printed image on a digitally printed sheet.
Morgana Systems’ popular PUR binders will be shown in two variants: the DigiBook 300 XL Pro, and a new version of the DigiBook 200 with a long sheet kit. PUR is the strongest, most flexible binding adhesive available. When inks, coatings or digital print toners are present in the spine area of printed pages, these can compromise the strength of typical hot-melt perfect binding. PUR overcomes this issue and will form a super-strong bond with all weights and finishes of paper stocks. In addition, PUR works well with synthetic and recycled-content stock.
Other Morgana offline finishing equipment that will be shown include the Laminator Pro 450; Rotary Die Cutter; AutoCut Pro; DigiFold Pro 385 high-capacity; AutoFold Pro; DocuFold Pro; Major Folder; and the popular FSN numbering unit. These solutions will be showcased at drupa 2020.
