The new MK21060STEs foil stamping and die-cutting machine incorporates better stability, additional technology and a faster maximum speed of 6000 s/hr.

‘We’re pleased to unveil the Duopress MK21060STEs for the post-press market,’ said Wayne Zheng, marketing manager for Masterwork USA. ‘Our expert research and development team have designed a new and exceptionally better computerised foil controlling system, which can handle complex foil advance calculations to help reduce foil usage of up to 60%. They’ve increased the speed on the Duopress to 6000 s/hr, which is really 12000 s/hr because it is producing three processes in one pass through the press: foil stamping, die-cutting and stripping. This new model offers maximum flexibility and can meet the exacting requirements to accurately register foiling, die-cutting, and stripping processes in one pass, which traditional machine processes are unlikely to deliver. Masterwork is the only company to offer this type of machine.’

The Masterwork Duopress machines are designed with both foil stamping and die cutting functions in one pass to provide increased accuracy and maximum efficiency. One pass offers excellent register between die-cutting and foil stamping. If an operator has to feed the paper through two machines, the positioning of the paper may be slightly different and the die-cut and foil stamping might not be as accurate.

The machine can also be optioned to stamp two separate foil applications in one pass in its two platens. With Masterwork’s Duopress products, operators will easily experience an increase in efficiency while reducing down time. The foil stamping system on the MK21060STEs is equipped with three longitudinal foil advance pulls and two transversal foil advance pulls that are able to cope and offer flexibility on the most rigorous production processes.

The Masterwork Duopress MK21060STEs is designed with additional key features. It is equipped with a non-stop feeder. A pile change can be achieved while the machine is in operation with the help of non-stop swords. Adjustments on the feeder are made easy with micro adjustments.

Masterwork engineers have outfitted the Masterwork Duopress MK21060STEs with a high-speed die-cutting system operating at 6000 s/hr maximum. Operators are able to set the machine using die-cutting plate micro adjustments for the most detailed job. Its central registration system dramatically reduces plate-changing time.

It can handle large format die cutting and foil stamping with longitudinal and transversal foil pull systems. Operators will appreciate its high precision due to its excellent tension control during foil feeding and its error tolerance of 1mm during foil unwinds.

The stripping station features stripping frames, a stripping concave template, and stripping boards. The well-built transmission mechanism and cam movement curve provide stripping stability and accuracy. The centre-line registration system used for the stripping board provides accurate positioning and easy adjustment.
