Konica Minolta South Africa (KMSA) demonstrated the combined Banner Tray MK-740 and Large Capacity Tray LU-202XLm with its AccurioPress C3080. The C3080 is renowned for durable performance, ready-made print products, reduced power consumption, image quality, comprehensive media processing and ease of use.
‘Africa Print was a great success, with many visitors looking for something additional, to promote print and increase their product offering to their clients. Overall, the show was well attended with many new business opportunity seekers as well as existing commercial clients looking for an edge in the market,’ said Leon Minnie, Manager – Production Print, Konica Minolta South Africa.
‘Konica Minolta’s Digital Lounge was able to fulfill many of these needs through the showcasing of the award winning Accurio PRESS C3080, which has the ability to do banner printing up to 1300mm as well as the new booklet finisher with 3-edge trim, crease ability and square-back folding.’
The Daily News, which featured the latest product showcases and news from the Africa Print, Sign Africa, FESPA Africa and Africa LED expo, was printed on the AccurioPress C3080. Konica Minolta printed almost 3000 newsletters during the exhibition, showcasing Accurio’s professional booklet making reliability.
The MK-740 Banner Tray gives print providers the option of upgrading AccurioPress colour production printing systems with an optional banner tray that can feed up to 1200mm long set.
The Large Capacity Tray LU-202XLm gives print providers the option of upgrading the AccurioPress colour production systems an additional paper capacity of 2500 sheets.
KMSA also pre-launched genARate, where the AR stands for Augmented Reality. Using a mobile phone or tablet, users can simply point their camera at specially designed printed collateral and watch it come to life.
Images, videos or 3D animations can be viewed, bringing a sense of wonder to printed media. With genARate, a user can take existing campaigns and update them with new AR content.
‘Clients were fascinated with the pre-launch of the ‘genARate’ solution, an augmented reality solution that brings print to life and is a platform for consumers to benefit from the strength of both print and digital. This unique solution proves that print as well as digital media can live in harmony side by side to give the best possible ROI on a campaign,’ added Minnie. ‘The Konica Minolta Virtual reality demonstrations of the AccurioJET KM-1 was a real winner and the positive response from clients indicated the huge interest in Accurio industrial print solutions.’
