Alten Hulme has taken up the opportunity to lead the national sales and marketing team of Konica Minolta South Africa, the number one supplier of office machines in Southern Africa and a division of Bidvest Office (Pty) Ltd.
Hulme started his career 30 years ago as advertising manager at Konica Minolta South Africa, where he spent three years at it’s head office in Johannesburg, before focusing on the opening of new branches throughout South Africa and as far afield as Namibia. Today, Konica Minolta South Africa boasts 20 branches and 50 authorised dealers across Southern Africa.
For the past 15 years, Hulme was based in Cape Town, where he initially headed up a successful sales team before managing the entire Cape Town operation for Konica Minolta South Africa. During this time, he was also presented with the Bidvest Chairman’s Award for Top Achiever of the Year in 2014.
In his new role as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Hulme will be based in Johannesburg. On a personal note, he loves traveling and golf and is currently the national senior vice chairman of the Nomads Golf Club of South Africa.
