Kodak will be demonstrating how newspaper publishers and distributors can generate new revenue from remote newspaper production at Distripress Congress 2012, taking place from 1- 4 October in Scotland.

Publisher-approved quality

When it comes to print quality, publishers have exacting standards. Kodak has already helped several publishers and distributors in Europe set up profitable installations using the KODAK VERSAMARK VL4200 Printing System – including at distributors with no in-house print expertise.

The VERSAMARK VL4200 System is currently used to print more than 70 newspapers across Europe.

The VL4200 System’s outstanding quality not only delivers the high-end print and colour picture results that publishers and advertisers demand – it also allows distributors to expand into the commercial sector and generate new revenue.

The VL4200 System’s excellent productivity affords distributors the capacity to increase the number of titles they produce, helping them increase revenue.

For publishers, meanwhile, being able to produce more titles means they can offer their readership a wider choice. Plus the VL4200 lets them localize content according to culture and geography – which in turn makes their titles more appealing to advertisers.

Jack Knadjian, Business Development Director, Digital Printing Solutions – Newspapers, EAMER at Kodak, said, One of the reasons why the VL4200 has been such a success for newspaper distributors is that it produces the exemplary quality that publishers and advertisers demand. And it’s a real workhorse – it can get through a very high volume of work quickly, which makes it ideal for time-sensitive jobs like newspaper production. As we’re seeing with publishers all over Europe, remote newspaper publishing is easy to do with Kodak’s support – and you can turn a healthy profit.
