Kodak’s W-speed TRENDSETTER Q800 Platesetter offers a throughput of up to 66 B1 or 8-up plates per hour and the Autoloader unit supports fully automatic loading and unloading of up to 80 plates. Kodak recently installed the first W-speed KODAK TRENDSETTER Q800 Platesetter with Autoloader (AL) automation in India.
Multivista Global Pvt. Ltd, a company specialising in printing and book manufacturing based in Chennai, opted for Kodak’s automated CTP solution. The sale, in which Kodak channel partner Insight Print Communication played a pivotal role, was preceded by an extensive evaluation of the CTP market by Multivista Global.
The book printer is significantly expanding its platemaking capacity with the CTP solution from Kodak to meet growing customer demand. ‘The deciding factors for our choice of Kodak’s CTP technology were that Kodak could meet our speed requirements and is known as a reliable partner to the printing industry for its high-quality and robust CTP solutions,’ said Karthik Narayan Ravi, Director, Multivista Global. ‘Kodak’s extensive expertise as a manufacturer and supplier of printing plates, especially process-free plates, also impressed us. The sale of the TRENDSETTER Q800 Platesetter to Multivista Global is part of a recent series of sales successes Insight Print Communication has achieved with KODAK CTP technology. Insight has also installed new Kodak platesetters at Supreme Offset Press and Druck Media in Greater Noida, Bhagyashri Printers and Shivani Printers in the Maharashtra region, and Innova Printing and Packaging in Bangalore.
