Kodak Celebrates 21 Years Of Thermal CTP

Kodak celebrated 21 years of thermal imaging technology and its 21000th computer-to-plate (CTP) sale, at drupa 2016.

The company honoured KARTON-PAK S.A. of Poland, which chose a KODAK MAGNUS VLF Q2400 Platesetter and KODAK SQUARESPOT Imaging Technology to give its customers a higher level of stability, accuracy and reliability within its operations.

‘Thermal CTP is a major part of Kodak’s rich history in imaging and a primary building block of our graphic communications business today,’ said Nathanael Eijbersen, WW Product Manager, Output Devices, Kodak. ‘The announcement of the 21000th shipment at drupa, where it all began 21 years ago, speaks to the quality and popularity of one of our keystone technologies. We are truly pleased to celebrate this milestone with KARTON-PAK, a company who can use our system to grow and thrive.’

KARTON-PAK S.A. is an expert in packaging production for the food industry with a highly specialized facility. The company has a laboratory for microbiological testing to meet the highest level of safety standards for food packaging. KARTON-PAK also uses ELECTRA XD Plates combined with the Kodak 400 xLo Chemistry System to significantly lower chemistry consumption, reduce operating costs and maximise productivity.
