Konica Minolta South Africa will showcase digital production press award winners, its comprehensive photo book solution and innovative products at the Africa Print RoadShow in Bloemfontein on 30 May 2012 at Kiepersolrant.

Attendees will get the opportunity to experience the company’s award winning production solutions first-hand. These include the bizhub PRESS C6000, bizhub PRESS C7000 and bizhub PRO B950. The European Digital Press Association (EDP) named the C6000 as the Best Production Cut-Sheet Colour Printer of 2011 and independent testing laboratory, Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories Inc. (BERTL), awarded the C7000 with the title: Best Colour Light Production System. The bizhub PRESS C7000’s short-run colour consistency is the best ever tested, earning it a five-star rating for the least colour drift that BLI has seen to date, and it is noteworthy that it is the first time that a tested production unit received this award. In addition, the device’s processing speed outstripped all of its competitors during BLI’s raster image processor (RIP) job stream test. These awards only stand to emphasise the quality of these machines.

The company is also excited to use the RoadShow to showcase its highly comprehensive photo book solution, photo-PRESS. The ideal business enabler and perfect solution to tap into the tremendous market potential of photo book production, photo-PRESS helps to create, control and organise photo books, calendars, yearbooks, greeting cards, wall art and a host of other printable products that can then be produced economically and in superb quality on any Konica Minolta South Africa colour digital press, or using a different printing process.

photo-PRESS comprises three solutions – designer, web and production – intended to drive more volume through digital presses. The software is also available in two business models: standard and professional. Each has been tailored to accommodate specific needs for most business sizes, budgets and applications.
The latest release is the culmination of more than two years of development work, equating to over 25,000 man-hours, 250 enhancements and in excess of 250,000 lines of new code, and has resulted in an entire application of which more than 50 percent consists of new features.

The company will also showcase its black and white digital machines, VDP and colour management to potential clients. Discussing all the various production solutions enables clients to gain a full picture of the complete production solution that is available from Konica Minolta South Africa, one of the market leaders in this industry.
