Konica Minolta gave visitors at the Africa Print RoadShow a glimpse of its Photo-PRESS, ahead of its official release on 24 February. The photobook solution is a complete end-to-end software platform for the production of personalised photo books, calendars, year books, greeting cards, wall art and more. Photo-PRESS is a suite tailored to accommodate the specific needs for most business sizes, budgets and applications.
Features of the phonebook solution include:
Designer – the Mac and PC application you create using Creator. You decide on the product mix, size, number of pages, covers and paper types you wish to sell.
Control Centre: This allows you to set up all your cost prices and other parameters which enable the total automation of the Photo-PRESS Web e-commerce module.
Production: The solutions Production module gives a helicopter view of all orders and their status and supports output in many formats including PDF, Vector PDF, TIFF and JPEG.
Creator: This allows users to create, modify and upload all of the components required for a successful Photo-PRESS deployment.
InstallerMaker: This application brings together all the elements of your products and packages them into compressed installers for Macintosh and PC.
Social Sharing: Usually, customers’ photographs are not always on their local hard drive or memory stick – they’re just as likely to be stored in a Facebook or Flickr account. To address this, the company has included the facility to download images from these popular sites into the customer’s project as well as being able to choose from files stored locally on their hard drive. This feature is designed to give access to more images that can then be used to make more books and therefore generate more orders.
