Konica Minolta South Africa has joined The World Wildlife Funds (WWF) Africa Rhino Programme as a main sponsor and as a company which wants to make a noticeable difference. The company has already made a significant contribution through its first quarter sales results.

The company is assisting the WWF in paying for emergency veterinary treatments for injured rhinos, improving of rhino populations and increasing rhino ranges so that new populations can breed. The company is donating R100 for every bizhub sold within the current financial year to the programme.

Over the past three years, there has been an alarming rise in rhino poaching in South Africa. Over 300 rhinos were slaughtered in 2010 and 284 rhinos, including 16 or more critically endangered black rhinos, have been lost this year.

KMSA is a company standing tall and proud, forging ahead in the fight against a gross injustice.
