The 3600 Series AP print engine is ideal for both label converters and integration partners looking to fast-track their adoption of digital. Label converters can retrofit the digital inkjet print engine onto an existing flexo press to make use of equipment that has already been invested in.
The new development incorporates Memjet’s DuraLink printhead technology into a 21.5cm (8.5 inch) wide, full colour print system. The new technology offers ten times longer printhead life, resolution up to 1600 by 1585dpi and print speeds up to 204 metres (668 feet) per minute.
Using pigment inkjet, the solution is cost-effective and compatible with a greater number of substrates, both coated and uncoated, to meet a wider range of business and application needs. For integration partners who want to add digital capabilities to their solutions, the modular components allow for tailored engineering in less time and at a lower cost. It will be showcased at Labelexpo 2019.
