Holger Kühn, sales manager at IST METZ, explained that UV adds a third dimension to printing requirements. Heidelberg presented the new Speedmaster CX 104 with IST UV, showing the latest packaging innovations to around 100 customers from the Middle East in the Baden-Württemberg House at EXPO 2020 Dubai. Customers were able to discuss market trends and the latest innovations in the packaging world with experts from Heidelberg and IST METZ.
The Speedmaster CX 104 opens up completely new possibilities – right up to navigated or autonomous production. This is ensured by intelligent support systems such as Intellistart 3 and the unique Intelliline.
Dr David Schmedding, Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, explained the versatility of the Speedmaster CX 104, which with its new format can easily handle all materials from lightweight paper to board for packaging. ‘Even in the high-performance range with a speed of up to 16,500 sheets per hour, the CX 104 impresses not only packaging professionals but also commercial and label printers,’ he added.
Middle Eastern customers attended the launch of the new Speedmaster CX 104. After a tour of the Baden-Württemberg facility under the motto ‘Source of Innovation’, the latest applications and market trends were also be presented from the world of UV technology.
