Ipex Machinery will showcase its innovative finishing equipment, including the DigiBook 150 PUR binder and Morgana Autocreaser Pro 33 at the Africa Print Expo, taking place from 21-23 August at the Sandton Convention Centre.
Digibook 150 PUR Binder
The DigiBook 150 is an entry-level PUR binder and is ideally suited to traditional and digital printers who require short runs of PUR perfect bound books to a professional standard. The machine is equipped with a patented closed gluing system where the spine and side gluing is applied by a slot applicator for the utmost binding quality and accuracy. PUR is an extremely strong and flexible binding adhesive, forming a super-strong bond with all weights and finishes of paper stocks. The machine can produce up to 150 soft cover books or book blocks per hour. The addition of the optional gauze station allows book blocks to be finished ready for hard case binding. Books of up to 320 x 380mm can be made.
Morgana Autocreaser PRO 33
The machine provides the complete solution to the problem of cracking that occurs when folding digitally printed output. It is equally effective in dealing with conventionally printed card, laminates or cross-grained stock. It employs a unique creasing rule and matrix that eliminates tearing and cracking. The machine runs at 8500 A4 sheets per hour, and 11 000 A5 sheets per hour. The intuitive 18cm (7) SmartScreen controls all the main functions, allowing the machine to calculate where the creases need to be and set them accordingly. An alphanumeric memory allows an unlimited number of jobs to be stored and named as you choose. Maximum sheet size is 700mm x 330mm.
