Intec Releases World's First B2+ Digital Flatbed Cutter

The new ColorCut FB780-T digital die flatbed cutter and tangential creaser produces deep, clean creasing and crisp, sharp cutting for high quality packaging, point of sale and label applications. According to Intec, this is the world’s first B2+ digital flatbed cutter, and it provides the ultimate crease and precision cutting for any die-cut application.

This compact cutting table includes two tools: an impressive 2.5kg Active Tangential Creasing Wheel and Passive Contour Cutting tool. With its high-speed performance, the FB780-T is ideal for on-demand, small to medium production runs.

Kerry Button, Intec sales director, said, ‘The FB780-T is another important addition to the market leading ColorCut range. Again, we bring to the market a feature rich product at a very affordable price, allowing our customers to offer the highest quality service and a fast return on their investment.’

All Intec cutters offer instant job processing when reading a QR code and page marks printed on a sheet. However, this is no longer necessary with a fantastic new feature now included on the FB780-T: page edge detection. Page edge detection enables processing of printed jobs, from the rear of the sheet where there are no QR codes or page marks printed, producing accurate cutting and creasing every time.

The FB780-T offers two working modes: DIRECT, using Intec’s industry acclaimed ColorCut Pro software direct from a PC or HELD mode (standalone operation) where repeated jobs can be run independent of a PC with files stored on a USB stick, so anyone can cut sheets placed on the flatbed.

Users simply place the flatbed at any point of a production environment, click scan on the 17.78cm (7″) touch screen and run. With combined ColorCut Pro software, the FB780-T brings many advanced features to aid design and production.
