The iPrint eXtreme, the new flagship model from IMPIKAs continuous feed printers range offers the digital print standards of tomorrow, today. The model is the result of careful marketing and high technology expertise and offers broad new perspectives for inkjet printers.
Targeting the tabloid and broadsheet press, graphic arts, book publishers and direct marketers, the iPrint eXtreme offers a 711 mm (28) print width, and speeds up to 375m/min (1230 ft/min) in process colour and print resolutions up to 1200 dpi. The printer can be configured from one to six colours and supports a large number of dedicated finishing systems, making it a leader among inkjet production printers.
The printer is built around scalable modules which allow customers to improve and enhance their productivity and printer configurations while monitoring and incorporating inkjet technological developments.
The printer offers, through integration of latest-generation printheads, a print width of 711mm (28), enabling a wide range of print sizes up to the B1 format (707 x 1000mm), including the necessary variations for newspapers production (broadsheet, tabloid and berliner), as well as format and width requirements for book publication.
The possibilities are many and varied. They include for instance, the colour printing of 8000 copies of a 40-page tabloid newspaper, or 45,000 format B2 or 22,500 format B1 pages per hour, according to the requested print quality specifications.
As it is for all models in the iPrint range, high speed variable data management is ensured by the multi-format iController, designed to IMPIKA standards and compatible with most servers on the market.
Drupa 2012 will be an opportunity for IMPIKA to introduce the latest generation of inks compatible with all iPrint models, referenced as HD (High Density) inks. These inks are the result of years of research and collaboration and are described as pigments incorporating density boosters.
The IMPIKA iPrint eXtreme represents a milestone in the market development of digital inkjet printing. We designed and manufactured this product to bridge the gap between traditional and digital printing, not only in terms of performance, but also as an essential link between the paper and the full digital approach as figured by its graphic interface. The solutions synergy is for IMPIKA the way forward which allows different business models to coexist and evolve. The world is changing very fast and industry requires flexible and scalable solutions to meet the needs of today and, above all, those of tomorrow. The iPrint eXtreme, is the perfect example of the right combination of technological expertise and market feedback, said IMPIKA Chief Executive Officer, Paul Morgavi.
