Horizon Announces Digital Roll Saddle Stitching System

The new iCE STITCHLINER Mark V takes saddle stitching to the next level by making it possible for high-mix low-volume booklet production from continuous feed, digitally printed rolls.

The newly designed saddle-stitching system achieves high quality booklet production at a high speed. The sheets are tightly folded along the accurate scoring lines made one by one for consistent quality production without any special skill.

The newly developed sheet transport system enables smooth and stable transportation of thin sheets at a high speed. The system can produce 6000 booklets per hour at maximum.

Variable page count applications can be handled without any operator intervention and the in-line configuration ensures sheet-to-sheet integrity.

The optional cover feeder CF-50D enables flexible insertion of up to three sheets in the booklet while the top-feed mechanism enables smooth sheet insertion of a wide variety of sheets.

The cover feeder can insert standard 6-page or 8-page cover sheets as well as be used standalone for cut-sheet booklet production (in the case of short or reprint runs). The system also features a state-of-the-art tracking system for quality control and job management.
