The company, exclusive distributors of Primera label printers for Africa, launched the new printer together with Primera representatives from Germany, Andreas Hoffman (Managing Director) and Monika Fricke (Marketing Manager), at Propak Cape 2011. Together with other Primera label solutions from Primera, the CX1000e impressed show attendees with print quality and speed.
The label printer provides a solution to produce short to medium-run jobs from 100 – 5000 labels per roll, in various sizes. With many benefits, the company predicts the printer will sell very well, because there is a gap in the market for an affordable, quality label printer.
Based on the winning Primera print and cut combo CX1200e and FX1200e, the CX1000e is a new streamlined solution, still printing at the same speed and quality of the CX1200e but at a third of the price.
It prints at speeds of five metres per minute and users can print up to 152 metres at a time, equal to a 203mm diameter roll. Once a job is started, it can be left unattended. A built-in cutter automatically cuts the web once the job is completed and a sensor turns off the printer and rewinder.
In addition, the printer utilises pre-cut label stock, so there is no need for a separate FX1200e finishing unit, making it more practical in terms of space. From initial set-up through running big jobs, the printer is as simple to use as any desktop office printer.
With long lasting micro-fine dry toner-based inks, the printer produces incredible 2400 dpi print quality labels. Deep and vibrant prints can be produced on a wide variety of laser-qualified label material from pressure-sensitive plain papers to white and clear polyesters and more. Printed labels are waterproof, as well as highly scratch, smudge-and tear-resistant. Theyve been specifically engineered for best-in-class performance with the toner used in Primeras CX-Series Colour Label Printers.
