Fujifilm South Africa showcased its CX 3240 Creative Duplex Printer at the recently held Africa Print Expo in Cape Town, which ran from 3-4 May at the CTICC.
The printer is designed for on-site photo specialty product production, and includes: automatic double-sided printing for thick paper with easier operation (when using paper recommended by Fujifilm), borderless prints without any post production trimming, and a versatile array of advanced printing features ideal for greeting cards.
Print on thick paper (324gsm), print on paper with special shapes (rounded corners or scalloped), and use papers with unique surfaces (satin or linen). Duplex printing of small-size cards is possible for 8.9 x 12.7cm (3.5 x 5 inch), 10.1 x 15.2cm (4 x 6 inch), 12.7 x 17.7cm (5 x 7 inch) and 10.1 x 20.3cm (4 x 8 inch). Up to five paper trays make it easy to switch between sizes and weights to create a wide variety of products.
The CX 3240 enables users to quickly and easily create borderless, double-sided pages for a variety of cards, photobooks and more, providing the kinds of products customers demand.
Excellent colour reproduction can be achieved. Automatic adjustment by the company’s proprietary image processing technology Image Intelligence is also available (only with software that supports Image Intelligence).
The CX 3240 can be efficiently operated and managed together with Frontier printers like the DE100 with Fujifilm Frontier Workflow Management Software ‘MS’ (MS optional software MPS is required). The CX 3240 can be connected to systems that do not use MS, enabling network printing from a variety of applications. Fujifilm also offers free software to manage the creation and ordering of photobooks and calendars online to make it easy to expand your product offering in-store.
