Fujifilm South Africa and Papercor Holdings have announced a partnership that will involve Papercor marketing as well as selling Fujifilm’s plates.
Grant Potgieter, general manager of Fujifilm South Africa’s Graphic Communication Division, explained, ‘The collaboration with Papercor was an easy decision for Fujifilm, which was based not only on Papercor’s 35 year history and their experience in the market, but on Fujifilm’s values, which are very much aligned with Papercor’s values. Papercor are an ethical group of people, they have sound business principles and they are a financially stable business. All of those align with Fujifilm’s principles. It was an obvious choice to partner with them in growing our market share on the plate side of our business.’
Papercor Holdings’ managing director, Raymond Blake, added, ‘Papercor’s business is currently strictly paper and we thought we could add value to Fujifilm, ourselves and the industry by having an additional range of products. Our knowledge, experience and footprint in the market is very much national. Fujifilm’s plates are a perfect fit: their technology is highly advanced and ahead of the game. They’re environmentally credible and we are FSC certified, so on that basis we are also aligned to offer the market some value.’
