Esko Showcasing Latest Technological Innovations At This Year’s Labelexpo Europe

With its CDI Crystal XPS 4835 flexo imaging and exposure unit, complete with innovative automated PlateHandler and PlateFeeder at the heart of its display, the Esko exhibition space will feature a range of cutting-edge integrated technologies.

The latest version of Esko Automation Engine, now available to users either on-premise or as a SaaS solution, will demonstrate the benefits of an automated prepress workflow, while the team will unveil the new Flexo Engine module, which merges functionality, automation and a host of features developed to increase prepress productivity.

‘Today’s turbulent and volatile market dynamics put label converters under tremendous pressure, with an ever-growing need for accuracy, consistency and efficiency,’ said Jan De Roeck, Director Industry Relations and Strategic Marketing, Esko. ‘The adoption of integrated hardware and software to automate and connect workflows, systems and processes delivers the clearest tangible benefit in meeting this challenge.’

The Esko team will be showcasing its latest innovations, including new VDP enhancements in Automation Engine that makes the integration of Variable Data Printing requirements as easy as a few mouse clicks, and the newest developments in on-press colour and quality management with its AVT print inspection system. This technology will be further showcased at the Labelexpo event space Automation Arena, when Esko will demonstrate a complete integrated, automated workflow to visitors.

‘Excellence in business performance, the value promise of digital transformation, leads to success by improving operational processes, lowering costs and delivering client loyalty,’ said De Roeck. ‘By developing technologies that seek to speed up and connect processes and devices efficiently, while eliminating errors and waste, Esko enables label converters to meet the challenges of both today and tomorrow, while also reducing waste as much as possible throughout the entire ideation-to-shelf workflow.

Adjacent to the Esko booth, X-Rite Pantone will demonstrate a connected ecosystem for colour management integrated with the Esko workflow. Labelexpo is taking place from 26-29 April in Brussels.
