Enfocus’s PitStop 24.11 introduces a range of significant improvements, including support for macOS 15 (Sequoia), new Actions for Colour Separations and technical content extraction, improved UX/UI and search, as well as enhanced capabilities for PitStop Server, which now accepts PNG and JPEG files as input.
New Features in PitStop 24.11:
MacOS 15 (Sequoia) support
PitStop Pro and PitStop Server 24.11 now fully support macOS 15, ensuring customers can upgrade their systems without disrupting workflows.
New Actions For Colour Separations And Content Extraction
Add separation pages to document: this Action enables users to generate colour separations from a PDF and insert them into the document. It’s particularly useful for processes like screen printing or die engraving where separations are essential.
Add pages with extracted content: a new Action for easily separating print content from technical elements such as foil, varnish, or cut paths, and placing them on a dedicated page. This improves efficiency for tasks that involve embellishment or cutting.
PNG/JPEG Input For PitStop Server
PitStop Server can now process PNG and JPEG files directly, without the need for conversion to PDF. This streamlines the workflow for customers who frequently handle these image formats.
UX/UI Improvements
Numerous minor adjustments have been made to PitStop Pro’s UX/UI, including enhanced dark mode support (Mac OS), improved search functionality, and refinements to the Inspector tool. These updates increase ease of use and ensure a smoother experience for daily operations.
ICC Profile Information Display
Colour conversion issues can now be more easily investigated thanks to PitStop providing details about the ICC Profile. Information such as the ICC Profile ID and others can be viewed in the Inspector in PitStop Pro and in the Preflight Reports.
Rounding In Custom Preflight Reports
New parameters let you set the number of digits after the comma for values in customised Preflight Report templates.
‘With the release of PitStop 24.11, we are excited to deliver problem-solving features for embellishment and cutting in PitStop Pro, alongside many UX/UI adjustments and a dramatically improved search function. Additionally, PitStop Server now supports PNG and JPEG input files, making our customers’ workflows even smoother. Our goal is to consistently make our customers’ lives easier with every new release,’ said Loïc Aigon, PitStop Product Manager.
Additional Improvements
PitStop 24.11 also brings a series of improvements, including the update of the flattening library, the addition of Pantone V5 libraries, and many others.
