DURSTS OMEGA INKS SAFE FOR CHILDRENS TOYS

1368

Dursts Omega inks comply with standard EN 71-3 which concerns the safety of children’s toys. Ten different sample panels were printed with the Omega 1 and the Omega inks used were then tested. Results show that they fully comply with the standard EN IM-71-3.

The panels were supplied by TÜV Rheinland. Standard 71-3, now available in version 5, cover the safety of children‘s toys and takes into account that infants will put them into their mouths. The thresholds, measured in mg/kg., as set out in the standard for various soluble heavy metals (antimony, barium, selenium, etc.), must therefore not be exceeded. The Omega inks are approximately ten times below the standard thresholds.
