The Tau 330 RSC and Tau 330 RSC E UV inkjet single-pass presses set new benchmarks in the label industry with already more than 50 installations all around the world.

The Durst Tau 330 RSC is a UV inkjet label and package printing press featuring 330mm (13 inch) print width combined with leading edge print speed of up to 78 linear metres/min (245 feet/min) at a resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi. It runs at 1.485sqm per hour, and thanks to its eight colour stations (CMYK+W+OVG) with new designed high pigmented inks, it delivers outstanding, flexo-like print quality with close to 95% Pantone colour gamut coverage.

The Tau 330 RSC E UV is available in 330mm and 244mm print widths, offering four colours or four colours and white option in full-speed mode. The Tau RSC E benefits from Durst’s state-of-the-art RSC technology. Its native resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi, combined with its smallest drop size of 2pL, provides photo-like quality. Production capabity of 1020sqm/hour is achievable with a printing speed of 52m/min at full colour including white. High pigmented inks reduce ink consumption by up to 20% per sqm, optimising running costs to the lowest possible level.

New features such as a special high opacity white and high speed white print mode are helping to boost the performance and range of applications for customers. New features of the Durst Workflow Label combined with the Durst SmartShop and integration packages help to fulfill Industry 4.0 standards to drive the Tau RSC portfolio. Durst will show live demonstrations of the updated Tau RSC portfolio at Labelexpo 2019.
