Dscoop hosted a successful EMEA 5 conference in Tel Aviv, Israel from 5-8 April 2016, where new technology, products and services from HP were showcased.
The conference had 853 attendees, from 352 companies and 50 countries, which adds up to 3587 total attendees that have been at Dscoop conferences in EMEA since 2012. Also present at the event were 821 member companies, with 33 HP Indigo digital presses on display at Kiryat Gat HP campus on 7 April 2016.
Delegates learned from the experiences of business leaders in educational sessions, where they connected with their digital printing peers across the EMEA and were inspired to grow by the latest industry innovations.
During the Dscoop event, HP launched the Indigo 8000, 12000, 5r and 7r digital presses. The HP Indigo 8000 press offers high-volume converters end-to-end label production at a speed up to 80m/min.
The HP 12000 digital press prints B2-sized sheets in colour at up to 4600 per hour. It can produce over two million colour sheets per month and print monochrome in duplex at 4600 sheets per hour. Sophisticated automation tools boost production efficiency and uptime.
The HP 7r Digital Press is enabled with HP Indigo’s liquid ElectroInk technology and unique digital offset process. HP Indigo prints are of the highest quality, they match or even exceed offset, allowing them to be used interchangeably.
The HP Indigo 5r digital press can be enhanced with One Shot technology for printing on synthetics, metallised and canvas substrates for plastic card and specialty applications.
The event started with a keynote session entitled ‘Startup Passion and Disruption’ from entrepreneur and co-founder of Waze, Uri Levine. Levine is a serial entrepreneur and after turning his startup Waze into the biggest navigation app in the world, with over 200 million users, he sold the app to Google. Levine has been in the high tech business for 30 years and his expertise ranges from product development, marketing, business development, running startups and coaching CEOs.
Following this, Alon Bar-Shany, General Manager, HP, Indigo Division, highlighted the latest HP Indigo technologies, including new innovations to be demonstrated at drupa 2016. Bar-Shany explained, ‘The fifth Annual Dscoop EMEA conference provided members with the perfect opportunity to gain an exclusive insight into the HP Indigo portfolio while touring HP’s R&D labs and manufacturing lines. They also had the chance to meet in person the scientists and engineers behind the technology.’
In addition to these insightful keynote speakers, Dscoop EMEA 5 also offered specially developed interactive talks delivered by experts from across the field of business.
Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur, Vitaly Golomb, featured in the session with his talk, ‘Sales Lessons from Silicon Valley’. Golomb has led an inspiring and extensive career to date. His talk provided a phenomenal understanding of techniques used by startups to develop products, markets and strategies and how these techniques can be applied to any business.
Adrian Peck of Adrian Peck ltd, the UK’s leading specialist in results coaching for sports people and corporate clients, also delivered an interactive session. ‘Present with Certainty’ taught skills for vastly improved presentations as well as demonstrating a great understanding of how best to manage and motivate people.
