Dscoop confirmed that 1250 industry professionals attended the annual Dscoop Open conference earlier this month, living up to promises that this would be the largest Dscoop event in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) yet.

Delegates from 47 different countries congregated at the Convention Centre Dublin for three days of industry insight, education, inspirational business advice and networking opportunities. Attendees were also the first to find out that the Dscoop EMEA 2016 conference will be chaired by Eran Friedman, VP Marketing at Ilan Print Ltd., and held in Israel.

Jon Tolley, Owner of Prime Print Group and Dscoop EMEA Board Chairman said, ‘We are pleased to have been able to host another successful and valuable event with the help of our industry partners. Attendance exceeded our expectations and the feedback we’ve received about the quality of the seminar content and the topics covered has been extremely positive. It gives us a very high benchmark for next year’s conference programme, but I know that Eran is ideally placed to accept the challenge and deliver equally impressive results.’

The Dscoop Open conference included compelling key note sessions, seminars and panel discussions with representatives from major brands and retailers, and market-specific seminar tracks for wide-format, photo, labels and packaging. In addition, 53 partners demonstrated a wide-range of business-enhancing products and services in the 4000sqm Solutions Showcase.

This year also featured some Dscoop firsts, including the ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ meeting for delegates 35 years old and under. Participants at the meeting gathered to hear from and network with successful industry peers.

‘HP customers continue to drive the industry forward through innovation, and it is great to see them come together at Dscoop to share their knowledge and ideas,’ said Ronen Zioni, EMEA Marketing Director, HP Graphic Solutions Business. ‘HP is extremely proud to support Dscoop, and we are delighted to have been a part of such a widely successful event again this year.’

Dscoop also created an event app that provided delegates with all the information they would need to ensure their Dscoop experience was beneficial. Features included an interactive conference schedule, speaker information, event updates and direct links to social media channels. Since the app’s launch, 1000 individuals actively used it and have generated 250000 interactions.

‘We value the feedback we receive from our members and partners very highly and the input provided in this year’s surveys will help shape the 2016 event programme,’ said Peter van Teeseling, Dscoop Regional Director. ‘Meanwhile, we are committed to bringing the benefits of Dscoop to members on a local level and will therefore be present at various events across Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the coming months.’
