Digital Graphics Incorporation (DGI) showcased the PRESTO direct to package printer with CMYK full colour. It features ideal performance with postcards, boxes, paper bags, wooden planks, and thicker objects like blister envelopes or folded boxes.
Key features include an embedded computer with 39.6cm (15.6”) touch screen, operation status indicator, automatic media height measurement system, media guide, vacuum suction conveyor system and a large-capacity ink cartridge.
Other features include pigmented aqueous ink, a maximum printing size of 297 x 910mm and a maximum printing resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi. The machine is being showcased at drupa, which runs until 7 June in Dusseldorf. DGI recently acquired d.gen, a company renowned for a diverse range of printing technologies, and represented locally by Midcomp.
