Paper manufacturer Cyclus has provided a number of solar lamps to assist villages in Mali without electricity.
Solar lamps can help children to do their homework after nightfall. The lamps also bring numerous advantages to families of the villages. The light sources, less expensive than a kerosene lamp and much more environmentally friendly, are of great benefit to these children and their families.
Although a large number of lamps have been provided by Cyclus, there is still a lot more that can be done. The public can assist in this initiative through viewing the accompanying #cycluspaper video. Every 25 views of the video provides one solar lamp for a child.
