A user of Screen SC inks, Hungarian transactional printer EPDB has been able to maximise the exceptional quality already available on its Truepress Jet520HD presses and print on a wide range of paper stocks including standard offset coated stocks, without the need for pre-treatment.

This comes following Screen’s announcement that EPDB is meeting the ever-increasing demands of its customers with a new Screen 520HD machine with SC inks. The company believes the superior quality of the press will cement its position as the Hungarian market leader.

EPDB is a public, government run company involved in 70% of Hungarian transactional printing productions, making it the biggest company of its kind in the country. The company’s service offering extends to banks, insurance companies and utilities.

‘We initially invested in Screen technology as we were in need of a top-quality press that would meet the growing market demand for higher quality transactional printing,’ stated EPDB CEO, Gergely Molnár. ‘Our Truepress Jet520HD is exceeding expectations, giving us excellent printouts – equivalent to the print quality of offset presses – and we are pleased with our investment.’

‘Essentially, the additional capacity means that we are prepared to meet increased demand with rapid turnarounds – essential to keep our customers returning. We can also continue to print on the range of standard offset media that our customers are used to. This means there are no drawbacks to choosing digital. We would even go as far as to say there is a good chance we will make a move into short-run book production as a result of our experience using the technology.’

Bui Burke, Screen Europe Senior Vice President Sales, concludes, ‘We are delighted that EPDB is exercising our market-leading solution in new and interesting ways. This is a testament to our technology, which continues to allow companies to expand their businesses profitably.’
