With its interactive and engaging stand, Canon South Africa scooped the Best Mega Custom Stand award and welcomed thousands of visitors over the three days of the Africa Print expo, held at Gallagher Convention Centre from 13-15 September 2017. Canon experts were on hand to answer questions and give advice to visitors who flocked to see, touch and experience some of Canon’s innovations. Canon also stacked up 12 Buyers Laboratory Pick Awards, which were presented by the Buyers Lab at the expo.
The new Océ Colorado 1640 wide format printer, powered by UVgel, was the main attraction at Canon’s stand. This world-first innovation is touted to fill the gap between current technologies in the roll-to-roll production market. This advanced graphics printing system will help deliver real production efficiency while lowering print service providers’ operating costs, enabling them to profitably grow their businesses. Canon’s UVgel print technology allows customers to compete in a market where jobs need to be turned around in 24 hours or the same day. Visitors to Canon’s stand were captivated by the Océ Colorado 1640’s breakthrough productivity, wide and unique application range and robust production printing platform.
Canon also won 12 Buyers Laboratory Pick Awards, which were presented to the relevant product managers at the expo. Pick Awards are considered the industry’s premier accolade, giving special recognition to manufacturers and products that perform well above their peer in exhaustive lab tests.
