Canon Makes The Change At Africa Print Expo

Canon's stand (Hall 2 E1) turned from bright and fruity to warm and neutral in a matter of minutes at the Africa Print Expo, held last week at Gallagher Convention Centre. The company amended the branding on its stand as part of its aim to take a bold step into change.

The Africa Print Platinum sponsor created fictional companies: a 'Fresh Juice Bar' and 'Percolated Coffee Shop', with real world requirements, and switched from one theme to the other.

Canon was all about the applications at Africa Print, having printed business cards, posters, flyers, banners, menu's, stretch frames, notebooks, canvas printing, order books, coasters, table cloths and more in the two fictional companies' themes. Everything was printed on Canon equipment. 'The stand was one big print sample,' said Jimmy De Waal, Head of Marketing, Canon South Africa.
